My Father’s Business: The Kingdom Purpose of Therapy Fund Art
Share
In the Gospel of Luke when Jesus was just a boy, His parents found Him in the temple, and He said to them, "Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?" (Luke 2:49, NKJV). These words resonate deeply with me as I reflect on my journey and how God has shaped my business, Therapy Fund Art, into a ministry of healing and transformation. Everything I do in this business is an extension of my Father's business—His kingdom, His love, and His mission to bring wholeness to broken lives.
Collaboration with God: The Foundation of Therapy Fund Art
From the very beginning, Therapy Fund Art has been a collaboration with God. It was He who delivered me from evil, removing me from toxic situations and guiding me on a path of freedom. As a survivor of domestic violence and someone deeply invested in ending toxic cycles in relationships, I know firsthand the power of God's deliverance. It’s not just a momentary rescue, but a continual ordering of steps, guiding me toward building a platform that helps others break free from destructive patterns.
The Bible teaches us that "the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord" (Psalm 37:23). This scripture has been a cornerstone in my life, reminding me that God has a purpose for every trial and triumph. My personal journey of overcoming violence and toxic relationships was not for me alone—it was so that I could reach back and help others through my art, coaching, and teaching. God has faithfully ordered every step, and in every season, Therapy Fund Art reflects the kingdom principles of love, healing, and freedom.
Kingdom Principles in Action
My Father’s business is about love, restoration, and reconciliation. At Therapy Fund Art, we focus on bringing these principles into reality by offering tools to end violence and increase love in relationships. Toxic cycles of abuse, control, and manipulation are directly opposed to the Kingdom of God, where love, mutual respect, and healing should flourish. By empowering people to understand their worth in God’s eyes, we help them find the courage to step out of toxic environments and into the fullness of life that God intends.
Through art, we provide a tangible method of healing. God himself is the ultimate Creator, and in His image, we are invited to co-create—whether through our relationships, our work, or in artistic expression. When I create, I am constantly reminded of Isaiah 45:12 where it says "I made the earth and created mankind upon it; my own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts." As well as Genesis 1:27 where God created man in his own image, where it is said "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." As we bring people into the creative process, we remind them that they, too, are creators of their own story—empowered by God to create a future marked by love and freedom.
Ending Violence, Increasing Love
God hates violence. Scripture is clear about this in passages like Psalm 11:5 where it says,
"The Lord tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence." Violence is not limited to physical acts—it extends to emotional, spiritual, and psychological harm. My mission through Therapy Fund Art is to replace these destructive patterns with love, rooted in the kingdom principles of forgiveness, reconciliation, and accountability.
Just as God delivered me from evil, He offers that same deliverance to others. But deliverance is not the end of the story—it’s the beginning. It’s the point at which we start to walk in our true calling, ending cycles of abuse and modeling healthier relationships for the next generation. Therapy Fund Art is not just a business; it’s a ministry of reconciliation, where God’s love is at the center of every piece of art, every workshop, and every conversation.
Always About My Father’s Business
In every step I take, I am reminded of Jesus’ words in Luke 2:49. I am about my Father’s business—whether I’m creating art, coaching someone through healing, or advocating for the end of violence in relationships. This business was never mine alone; it was always God’s. He has been the silent Partner, ordering every step, opening every door, and providing every creative spark. When people engage with Therapy Fund Art, they are stepping into a space where kingdom principles reign—where love, healing, and freedom are not just ideas but lived experiences. My prayer is that through this business, many will find deliverance, healing, and the courage to step into the fullness of life that God has for them. Because in the end, it’s all about being about my Father’s business.
